Ginger's parents are registered Kerry Blacks, from a heritage herd here in Ireland. She is the only non-black calf known to have been born in this herd. I saw her the day she was born, and bought her when she was weaned, at about 8 months.
In her second year she was AI'd with an Aberdeen Angus, and this April she gave birth to these delightful twins (one of each!). They get most of her milk, but she is now quiet enough to be hand-milked so that we can enjoy it too. Thank you for your wonderful informative site!
